What's In My Diaper Bag

The ultimate guide for packing your diaper bag. Here, is your trusty go-to diaper bag checklist to ensure you've got all the tools to make any messy situation disappear.

"Caroline" Diaper Bag by Lily Jade

First thing first you need to start with the right diaper bag for you. There are lots to choose from but the basics are handbag style or backpack style. If you're like me some days you want a handbag style and some days you'll want a backpack style. Luckily for you, I have a solution that doesn't involve buying two diaper bags.

Diapers - Abby & Finn

The rule of thumb is one diaper for every two hours you are planning to be out, and then I'll pack a few extras just in case. My favorite diapers are from Abby & Finn we signed up for their subscription for diapers and wipes and now I never have to worry about running out. They also have really cute patterns to choose from.

Diaper Cream with Tush Swiper - Eli and Aly

I wish I had found this product sooner. There is nothing worse than getting diaper cream all over a freshly clean baby, especially when you are on the go. The Tush Swiper makes putting diaper cream on as easy as two swipes. No mess and no cleanup.

Burp Cloths

The easiest way to clean up any messes from spit up to spilled water.

Swaddle - Narz Baby

I always pack a light swaddle blanket because the weather is so unpredictable in the south and can go from hot to cold super quick.

Travel Sound Machine - Hushh

I can't tell you how many times I've found myself out later than I had planned. A lot of the time I don't make it home for nap time so this portable sound machine has been a lifesaver for naps on the go.

Toys - Teething Banana Toothbrush

This teething toy is the best of both worlds. It helps babies learn to brush their teeth independently while making toothbrushing fun. Created from 100% food-grade silicone, non-toxic, and dishwasher safe for sanitizing.

Extra Outfit - Burts Bees Baby

If you only take one piece of advice from this list take this one. I can't tell you how many outfits Archie has pooped on, spit-up on, dropped food on, or drooled on. There is nothing worse than then realizing you don't have a backup outfit and now all you're left with is a baby in nothing but a diaper. Regardless of the weather, the straps on the car seat alone are enough to create the world's crankiest naked baby; trust me.

My favorite go-to outfits are the Burts Bees Baby pajamas.

Snacks

My favorite on the go snacks are Good & Gather’s freeze dried fruits and veggies.

They are available at Target.

Toddler Water Bottle

Water Bottle for mom

Don't forget about you! You need to stay hydrated too and when your baby finishes drinking (or spilling) all of their water you'll have a backup on hand.

Extra T-shirt for mom

Again, don't forget about you. No one wants to be walking around in a smelly wet t-shirt. Whether you get spit up on or worse having an extra t-shirt will always come in handy.

*I exclusively breastfeed so I don't pack a pump, bottles, or formula. Keep that in mind when packing your diaper bag!
